Every endeavour is made for all our pupils to gain an understanding and awareness of the part that ICT will play in their lives.
There is a specialist area for ICT and many faculties have PC's that help in the delivery of ICT requirements. Access to broadband Internet connection from any location in the school allows opportunities for research. A responsible Internet use policy is in place and parents have to give permission for Internet Use for their child. Up-to-date software, like MS Office suite, has helped pupils organise, handle, analyse and present information in creative ways. Assessment is based on the National Curriculum at KS3 and the use of GCSE and Key Skills at KS4.

Many faculties use ICT in exciting ways to motivate and inform pupils. Pupils experience ICT in a variety of situations. They are able to use PCs to improve project work and coursework requirements across both key stages.

A range of equipment like weather stations, scientific data-logging devices, Computer Assisted Manufacture, interactive whiteboards, digital cameras, scanners and robots are all used. Dedicated software packages like an automated library system, food analysis, CD ROMs and Computer Assisted Design etc are also used in various faculties. Monitoring of assessment information is carried out at the end of each module.
